At AMPED, needs of the individual come first. Every music therapy session is tailored to meet specific goals, such as communication, self expression, social inclusion, shared attention, sensory integration + regulation, motor/cognitive function, agency and identity.

Elise is currently working with children, young people and adults with a range of therapeutic goals. She works with CLEAR who support children and young people who have experienced, or are experiencing emotional trauma, domestic violence or sexual abuse. Elise and DBS-I are working on a sound and music concept album at Sowenna, CAMHS unit in Cornwall called 'Sowenna Sounds'. 

 

Elise worked at Giant Steps Sydney in Australia, working with children ages 4-17 with autism spectrum conditions, working alongside the music therapy team. 

 

Elise has had experience at Liverpool Brain Injury unit for traumatic brain injury, Sutherland Hospital adult acute and rehabilitation mental health wards, and in child, adult disability and aged care.

Elise grew up in North Cornwall and performed form a young age, studying jazz saxophone. She has played in many bands spanning genres, and has been songwriting on guitar and ukulele since 2009.

 

She graduated from the Masters in Creative Music Therapy from Western Sydney University with a distinction in April 2020 and completed a FDA in Sound and Music Technology at DBS Music/Plymouth University in 2013. 

Elise specialises in improvisation, songwriting, percussion, music technology and strengths based approaches in the areas of mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression, trauma + attachment, autism spectrum conditions, neurologic brain function + rehabilitation.
